Keeping It Simple
Some days, when I face another day of writing and my book is frankly confusing me, it takes extra effort to get started and keep going. I want solutions to appear quickly so I can let my fingers fly into a new scene, but I suspect from past experience (yesterday’s), that won’t be the case. Still, I won’t get anywhere unless I start. So I do.
I just open up the draft and find where I left off and keep trying. Sometimes, writing a novel is that simple.
I need to remember this. I wrote myself into a dead end with my novel!
Dear Aria,
That’s a difficult spot to be in, but I’m guessing you had to write the dead end to discover it wouldn’t work. Good luck going forward.
All best,
Caragh
