Book People in Tolland

Sarah Gorman, Caragh O’Brien, and Lucas Knight Vezina at the Tolland Public Library, September 23, 2017

I had a happy visit to the Tolland Public Library where I was invited to speak as part of the Eaton-Dimock-King Authors Series on Saturday, September 23rd. Reconnecting with readers I’ve known for several years was delightful, and I relished the chance to meet new ones.

I especially enjoyed talking with relatives of students I had when I taught in Tolland and current students from the high school now. It’s exciting to know many of them are writers, as well.

Many thanks to the Tolland Public Library Foundation for sponsoring the event, and to Kate Farrish for inviting me and making me feel so welcome. It was a pleasure to see the new, airy spaces and local artwork in the library, and to see the resources so actively enjoyed by patrons. I’m grateful to be part of an extended community of book people here in eastern Connecticut.
