{"id":815,"date":"2011-02-28T10:05:58","date_gmt":"2011-02-28T15:05:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.old.caraghobrien.com\/book\/?p=815"},"modified":"2011-03-09T21:51:54","modified_gmt":"2011-03-10T02:51:54","slug":"note-to-self-keep-going","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.caraghobrien.com\/book\/birthmarked\/note-to-self-keep-going\/","title":{"rendered":"Note to Self: Keep Going"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_816\" style=\"width: 235px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-816\" class=\"size-full wp-image-816\" title=\"View\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caraghobrien.com\/book\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/View.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"168\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-816\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Uninspiring View<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The view from my couch is not inspiring.\u00a0 It\u2019s raining on top of several feet of old snow out there.\u00a0 I dropped off the car for new tires before Rini\u2019s garage opened and walked home in the rain, over ice, falling once.\u00a0 So far today, I\u2019ve revised one page of Book 3, and I can already tell: it\u2019s going to be work this morning.\u00a0 Looking at glamour photos from the Oscars last night is not going to help, nor will going to dig up my stealth supply of chocolate chip oatmeal cookies from the apron drawer.\u00a0 I\u2019m still going to have to work.<\/p>\n<p>In some ways, I was more desperate to write when I could do it only one-handed while breastfeeding, or when I was writing in 25-minute lunch time chunks between classes.\u00a0 Now I have enough time to write.\u00a0 Now writing is all I do, frankly.
