4 Little Updates for Today and Tomorrow

With Promised due out in less than a month, interested readers might care to know a few little fun things:

1. Where It All Began

The first five chapters of Birthmarked are up for free on Kindle and Nook. Don’t have an ereader? With a Mac, you can download a free app that lets you read directly in a “cloud reader” on your computer. Figure out the technology today, and you’ll be happy reading free ebooks forever.

2. Paperback

The paperback of Prized is out today! Yay! The backmatter includes Leon’s story “Tortured” (Birthmarked 1.5) which has never been in traditional print before, plus some pondering questions for book groups and ponderers, and the opening chapter of Promised. For those of us who take tidy pleasure in such small things, the second book now matches the first in paperback land.

3. Giving Away the Good Stuff

I’m running an international giveaway of a signed hardcover of Promised on Goodreads for anyone who wants to take a wild chance there. The giveaway runs all month and ends October 2nd, when Promised is released.  Tip of the hat to my pals in Oz.

4. Chat, Anyone?

I’ll be part of an open Twitter chat at #FierceReads with Ann Aguirre, Lish McBride, Genn Albin, Marie Rutkoski, Beth Fama and our MacKids moderator Caitlin Sweeny tomorrow night, September 5th, at 7:oo EST.  Drop in and say “Hey!”  For non-Twitter people, you don’t have to join Twitter to follow along. You can eavesdrop by following the link and get a taste of how fun Twitter can be.

That’s the latest!
