Chatting It Up on Blog Talk Radio

BlogRadioInterview1.22.13I had a lovely chat last week with Cindy Wolfe Boynton, the host of Literary New England Radio Show, which airs Monday nights through Blog Talk Radio.  The show focuses on writers in New England, so it feels like it’s happening in my own back yard, yet it has a broad audience with listeners as far away as the U.K.  Cindy interviewed me about the Birthmarked trilogy, from how I came up with the first ideas, to how the trilogy became audio books this month with Tantor Audio.  We also had a chance to talk about the strong current interest in dystopian novels and why people are drawn to write and read about dire issues.

Tonight’s show features additional interviews with Eve Bridburg, Annie Kelleher, and Wendy Francis.  I’d like to say I had the chance to dress up in my fancy radio interviewee outfit (with boa) and go meet them all in a posh studio, but as you can see from this rare photo, I pretty much just picked up my phone.

Cindy will be offering a chance to win a copy of Birthmarked when the show with my interview airs tonight, at 8:00 pm EST.  Tune in for a listen on your favorite computer, or if you miss it live, check back for the listing in the On Demand Episodes.
