Fierce Reads Tour Ahead!

FierceLeg1Next month, I’m departing on an 8-stop book tour with two other young adult novelists, Marie Rutkoski (The Winner’s Curse) and Ann Aguirre (Mortal Danger). This will not be any book tour. It’ll be Fierce!

The team at Macmillan launched the Fierce Reads Tours back in the spring of 2012, when they first started sending groups of YA writers out together to speak at libraries and bookstores all over the country. I joined two of those early tours when the Birthmarked trilogy was coming out, and I have happy memories of meeting readers in their home towns.  I also fondly recall singing favorite tunes with Marie Rutkoski, Genn Albin and Leigh Bardugo late one night in the back of a speeding van.

I can only imagine what adventures lie ahead on this next tour! If you live near any of these cities, please come by and say hi. I love meeting readers in person, and we’re sure to have thoughtful book conversations and a few laughs. We’ll also have signed book plates from Josephine Angelini (Trial by Fire), who would have been on tour with us but a family bonus came up.

When our leg of the tour wraps up, another team of Macmillan YA writers, Gennifer Albin, Jessica Brody, Marissa Meyer, and Nikki Kelly, will be heading out to more cities, so be sure to check their schedule, too!
